Bypassing Bios Password

Bios - Password Bypassing

The starting problem which arises while booting computer is bios password.

It is very difficult to guess somebodies password. But there are some methods to break the password.

There are three ways to do it:

1>By using default passwords.

2>By messing with your motherboard. (using 3-pin jumper)

3>By messing with your motherboard. (using lithium battery)

Note : Remember one thing, it is always better to avoid messing up with hardware.(NOT for hackers)

1st method :

Here are some passwords which you can try:

AMI , cmos , j262 , Award , AWARD_SW , bios , BIOS , password

'j262' opens about most versions of Award BIOS.

You can search for the default passwords using google.

2nd method :

First of all you have to open your computer, then find a three pin jumper, which have been placed in the first and second pin.

Now place them in the second and third pin for about 5 seconds. It will reset your CMOS. Now again place the jumper in its default place i.e. in first and second pin.

3rd method :

First of all you have to open your computer and then look for a round lithium battery, it looks like a coin.
Now remove the battery and after 30 seconds or so put it back. Now start your computer. It will ask for date and time as the BIOS has moved to its factory system.

The first method is the best method to carry out. If it doesn't works then use the second method. You will not need to move to the third method. The third method is in case if you are not able to find the three-pin jumper.
